MANILA, July 9 (PNA) — Seven flights were cancelled Thursday afternoon due to bad weather brought about by typhoon “Falcon,” the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said in an advisory.
According to MIAA, among the cancelled flights were 5J 529 (Manila-Busuanga), 5J 530 (Busuanga-Manila), 5J 531 (Manila-Busuanga), and 5J 532 (Busuanga-Manila).
These flights belonged to low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific.
Also cancelled were international flights CX 918 (Manila-Hong Kong) and CX 903 (Hong Kong-Manila), both belonging to Cathay Pacific.
Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) also cancelled one flight, namely, PR312 (Manila-Hong Kong).
State-run weather bureau PAGASA earlier predicted monsoon rains to be experienced over the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) and Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan). (PNA)
