MANILA, July 9 (PNA) — Bad weather caused by typhoon “Falcon” led to the cancellation of five more flights on Thursday afternoon, according to the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).
MIAA said the flights cancelled included 5J 905 (Manila–Caticlan) and 5J 906 (Caticlan–Manila). Both flights belonged to low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific.
Meanwhile, also cancelled were two PAL Express flights namely, 2P 2053 (Manila–Caticlan) and 2P 2054 (Caticlan– Manila).
Flag-carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) also called off an additional international flight, PR310 (Manila–Hong Kong).
Flights earlier cancelled included Cebu Pacific flights 5J 529 (Manila-Busuanga), 5J 530 (Busuanga-Manila), 5J 531 (Manila-Busuanga), and 5J 532 (Busuanga-Manila).
Also cancelled were Cathay Pacific flights CX 918 (Manila-Hong Kong), and CX 903 (Hong Kong-Manila); and PAL flight PR312 (Manila-Hong Kong).
State-run weather bureau PAGASA earlier predicted monsoon rains to be experienced over the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, CALABARZON and MIMAROPA. (PNA)
