DSWD updates 4Ps database in Northern Mindanao

Posted on July 7, 2015

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, July 7 (PNA) -– The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Northern Mindanao maintains an updated database in the region, an official said Tuesday.

The database involves beneficiaries of the government Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) that now reaches 466,620 beneficiaries, DSWD Regional Director Araceli F. Solamillo said.

She said that the figure includes 18,901 grantees who are members of various groups of indigenous people under the Modified Conditional Cash Transfer.

Salmonella said that only the rightful beneficiaries of the program are kept in the database since the Grievance Redress System of the program continually captures and processes complaints related to the program.

Since the implementation of the program in 2010, GRS has excluded 2,438 beneficiaries due to inclusion errors; found out and deleted 13,210 because the household has no eligible children aged 0-18 years old; and delisted 717 grantees found to have regular income, Solamillo said.

She said that the GRS also automatically cleans list from double entry or duplication, fraud, missing, waived, and not duly registered beneficiaries. “Our database is continually updated in order to maintain a “clean” list of beneficiaries,” Solamillo said.

Solamillio said that the DSWD has substantially reduced the initial targeting errors with the advice from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and other partners. (PNA)
