BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, July 6 (PNA) — Police Chief Supt. Ranier Quibin Idio, newly-appointed regional director of the Philippine National Police(PNP) in Cagayan Valley, has vowed to put in his agenda the campaign against illegal drugs in the region.
This came during his recent visit in the province to lead the oath-taking program of the new members of the PNP-Advisory Council(PAC) at the Provincial Police Office(PPO) here.
Idio said that though the situation of illegal drugs in the region was still manageable compared in other regions in the country, a close watch and massive campaign would be implemented by the PNP to ensure that proliferation of illegal drugs would go down.
According to Idio, illegal drug syndicates in other areas are now using fabricated materials and using houses to produce Metamphetamine Hydrochloride or Shabu, the most sought illegal drugs in Cagayan Valley.
“We will intensify our campaign activities and we will not let this happen in our region that is why I have put the fight against illegal drugs as one of my priorities,” he said. (PNA)
