DAGUPAN CITY, July 5 (PNA)–Power transmission service was restored at 3:07 p.m. today (July 5) in some areas of western Pangasinan affected by power outage caused by the tripping of 69kV line from Labrador to Bolinao town starting at 12:57 p.m. Sunday.
The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said as a result, power was restored to parts of the service areas of the Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative (Cenpelco) and Pangasinan Electric Cooperative I (Panelco 1)
However, the Bani-Bolinao line is still isolated, awaiting for clearance to reconnect from Panelco 1 line personnel.
Electricity has so far been restored in Labrador, Sual, Alaminos City, Mabini, Burgos, Dasol, Infanta and Agno, all in western Pangasinan following the re-energization as of 3:07 p.m.
NGCP confirmed the tripping of the 69kV line was caused by rains and winds brought by typhoon Egay now lashing north east Luzon. (PNA)
