MANILA, June 25 (PNA) – Asia Green Capital Partners and Juwi Renewable Energies Pte Ltd. have created Aurora Partners Pte. Ltd, a joint-venture company, to develop solar photovoltaic projects across South Asia including the Philippines.
”The focus of the new joint venture company will be to identify and co-develop solar photovoltaic projects across key growth markets in the region such as Indonesia, India, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines,” Juwi AG said in a statement.
Juwi noted it will combine its global technical, project development and construction expertise with Asia Green Capital Partners’ experience in development, finance and construction.
However, Juwi said Aurora Partners had no target capacity yet for future projects in South Asia. Its headquarters will be based in Singapore.
Juwi Regional Director for Asia Pacific Amiram Roth-Deblon said Juwi was excited with the partnership, adding India and South East Asia were one of the most exciting photovoltaic solar markets.
He said there was an enormous long-term potential for the region, where it would bring additional project funding options and different business models for development partners.
Jigar Parekh, Juwi Group Senior Project Finance Manager, said Aurora Partners aims to partner with low cost finance options to achieve competitive advantage — allowing faster completion of renewable energy projects.
Operating since 2010 in the Asia-Pacific, the Juwi Group has completed 400 megawatts (MWs) of renewable energy projects located across India, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and Japan.
Juwi Renewable Energies Pte Ltd is a subsidiary of Juwi AG.
Meanwhile, Asia Green Capital Partners is a renewable energy project developer and investment firm, which developed a portfolio of over 350 MW in South East Asia. (PNA)
