MANILA, June 23 (PNA) – World’s leading business process outsourcing (BPO) company, Teleperformance, remains bullish in the Philippine market as it opened its 16th office in the country and aggressive to expand outside the National Capital Region (NCR).

Teleperformance has opened its 16th BPO center in the country at SM Aura in Taguig City on Tuesday with a total capacity of 1,938 seats.

Teleperformance Aura office will serve industries from financial and banking sector, retail, gaming, electronic and entertainment, and logistics as well as domestic clients.

Teleperformance Philippines Managing Director Travis Coates said in a briefing that the company continues to invest heavily in the Philippine market.

“The Philippine market, in general, is something that we are heavily investing in and growing in. It’s probably one of the largest Teleperformance geography all over the world, in terms of employee count,” Coates said adding that Teleperfromance Philippines has generated over 41,000 jobs.

The company has presence in Metro Manila, Antipolo, Baguio, Bacolod, Cebu, and Davao operating more than 26,500 workstations.

“We continue to look outside Metro Manila for opportunities to leverage talents and economic environments,” he added.

Coates mentioned that the company eyes more offices in provinces in Mindanao with the improvement in the business climate and stability in the southern Philippines.

“We are very successful in Davao. We have potential expansions beyond Davao and elsewhere in Mindanao. We expect to do that in next 12 to 24 months,” he said.

Meanwhile, Coates said the quality of workforce in the Philippines for the BPO sector has improved over the years.

“The quality of language skill improved in the last 19 years that we are here in the Philippines,” he mentioned.

Teleperformance is one of the pioneers in the country’s BPO industry as it had its first office in Taguig City in 1996. (PNA)
