CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan De Oro City, June 18 (PNA) -– The police regional command here is pushing for the creation of a working Local Anti-Crime Action Plan (LACAP) as a measure to prevent crimes.
Regional Director, Chief Supt. Lyndel Desquitado said on Thursday that the LACAP should be approved by the local government unit as part of the police holistic approach in crime prevention.
He said that the regional command discussed the creation of the LACAP during the regional command conference of provincial police and city directors here last June 8.
During the command conference, Desquitado also emphasized the readiness of the police to preempt and respond to anticipated consequences that might occur in the region.
He also directed the police sub-regional commands to intensify the campaign against illegal drug operations and crime prevention activities.
Desquitado said that the police regional anti-crime program is part of the nationwide anti-crime program OPLAN “Bantay Komunidad/Lambat Sibat.” (PNA)
