MANILA, June 15 (PNA) – Solar Philippines Inc. and Megawide Construction Corporation affiliate Citicore Power targets to complete the installation of its three solar projects, with a capacity of 190 Megawatts (MWs), by December.
”All of these projects targets completion by December. 2015 will not end with the company not finishing the installations,” Solar Philippines Inc. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Leandro Leviste told reporters.
He mentioned the name of the joint venture company is Citicore-Solar Philippines Power Project Holdings.
One of the projects, the 60 MW Calatagan solar farm was mentioned by Leviste to start construction already.
He added the second project, which will be built in Central Luzon, will have a capacity of 90 MW. The company is securing permits for the projects, with construction works set on August.
The third project, on the other hand, could produce 40 MW.
The CEO noted the company has ordered the equipment for construction, even before securing permits and reaching financial closing.
Aside from the 190 MW projects, Solar Philippines will venture into solar rooftop projects with another company. However, Leviste said he will leave it up to the partner to disclose the projects.
He said the firm has been tapped by malls and factories to install solar panels for their own use.
Solar Philippines is a developer of ground mounted and solar rooftop plants, integrating financing, design and installation. (PNA)
