ILOILO CITY, June 4 (PNA) -– The P3-billion Seda Atria hotel will be opened before the Asia Pacific and Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings here in Iloilo.
“We are planning to open the hotel by the end of August or September and we will try to allocate the second and third floors of the hotel to the APEC attendees,” said Joseph S. Del Rosario, hotel manager of Seda Atria.
The hotel will have 150 rooms that will offer modern conveniences for discerning travelers and local residents who expect international standards of product and service.
Del Rosario also said that they will provide jobs for an estimated 100 employees from Iloilo, Bacolod and Boracay that will be working for the hotel in addition to the employees working on the construction proper.
“We already started to hire managers, supervisors and now we are doing the contracting of the waiters and most of them are from Iloilo,” he said.
However, Del Rosario said the hotel does not have a swimming pool due to the water crisis here in Iloilo. He said they want to conserve water to help take care of the environment.
Seda Atria hotel vows to offer service that is different from that given by other hotels here in Iloilo once it opens. It is the first property in the Visayas of the Ayala Land Hotel and Resort Corporation. (PNA)
