MANILA, May 17 (PNA) — Solar Philippines President Leandro Leviste said the firm will develop USD 480 million worth of projects, with an operation target by the first quarter of 2016.
“We’re developing 200 Megawatts of solar panels. It has a project cost of USD 2.4 million per MW,” Leviste told reporters.
Solar Philippines will develop the 200 MW solar farm with a local partner for the project.
It had not shared any site for the project or projects.
Last March, Solar Philippines disclosed it has been talking with landowners in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, so that it could acquire lands for the solar farms.
It also said it will take an integrated approach, to develop, finance and construct the solar farms.
Solar Philippines has already secured service contracts for different sites in the country. (PNA)
