PSALM bids out fuel supply deal for 4 power plants

MANILA, May 14 (PNA) — The Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corporation (PSALM) has start the bidding for a total of 9.04 million liters fuel supply deal for four power plants.

”The PSALM Corporation has formally opened the bidding process for the supply and delivery of industrial fuel oil (IFO), industrial diesel oil (IDO), and engine lubricating oil (ELO) for its various power plants,” PSALM said in a statement.

PSALM noted the fuel needs of the four power plants are six million liters of IFO for Power Barge 104 with an approved budget contract at Php 130 million, 1.5 million liters of IDO for Malaya Thermal Power Plant at Php 41 million, 800,000 liters of IDO for PB 104 at Php 22.46 million, 60,000 liters of IDO for Southern Philippines Power Corporation (SPPC) at Php 1.7 million, 20,000 liters of IDO for Western Mindanao Power Corporation for Php 0.6 million and 240,000 liters of ELO for PB 104 for Php21 million.

It added that bids higher than the set budget contract will be rejected.

The bidding document fee varies for each project from Php 5,000 to Php50,000.

The bid document for PB 104’s IFO procurement costs Php 50,000, but both its IDO and ELO costs Php 25,000.

Malaya Thermal Power Plant’s bid documents for IDO also costs to Php 25,000.

SPPC’s IDO bid documents costs Php 5,000, while WMPC’s IDO bid documents costs Php 1,000.

PSALM has scheduled the bid submission deadline at 10:00 a.m. on May 28. (PNA)
