MANILA, May 13 (PNA) — Malacanang on Wednesday announced the appointment of 45 individuals to various posts in government, including Assistant Secretaries, Undersecretaries and Ambassadors.
One of the new appointees is Daniel R. Espiritu, who was nominated as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on May 4, 2015.
Espiritu served as the Director for ASEAN Political Security Community of the Department of Foreign Affairs’ (DFA) Office of ASEAN Affairs.
He also served as Deputy Consul General of the Philippine Consulate in Los Angeles in the US.
Another new appointee is Constancio R. Vingno Jr., who was nominated as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Arab of Emirates (UAE) on May 4, 2015.
He is the sixth Philippine Ambassador to South Africa when he was appointed in 2012.
The Office of the President’s (OP) Office of Chief Presidential Legal Council got a new Undersecretary through Mildred Yovela S. Umali-Hermogenes, who was previously an Assistant Secretary in the same office.
Another appointees is Benjie D. Zabala, Director III, Office of the Chief Presidential Legal Council of the OP. He previously held the same position under the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC).
The Department of Health (DOH) got a new official through Undersecretary Kenneth Y. Hartigan-Go, who has been with the department since 1994.
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) also has a new officer through Acting Assistant Secretary Katherine B. Brimon, who was previously the Deputy Executive Director of the department’s Institute for Labor Studies.
Also, Toni Angeli V. Coo was named as the Chief Privatization Officer of the Department of Finance’s (DOF) Privatization and Management Office (PMO). She was an ex-officio Director of the Philippine National Construction Corporation. (PNA)
