BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, May 11 (PNA) — Two solons in Northern Luzon have expressed their intention to support the maintenance of roads in the barangays by filing a bill that will reinforce the resources of the barangays for road maintenance.
The bill, when it becomes a law seeks to provide financial relief and road comfort for villagers in the country.
Representatives Carlos Padilla and Ronald Cosalan of Nueva Vizcaya and Benguet provinces recently filed a bill providing funds for the construction of Farm to Market Roads(FMRs) and multi-purpose buildings in the barangays.
“This will be a big help for our barangays since they usually cannot shoulder the needed funding requirements for the maintenance of barangay roads and multi-purpose buildings and these are significant projects for them,” said Rep. Carlos Padilla.
Padilla also expressed optimism that the bill will gain immediate and favorable decision in the Congress’ Committee on Public Works and Highways with Representative Ronald Cosalan as chairman. (PNA)
