MANILA, May 8 (PNA) –- The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) is verifying reports that Philippine Ambassador to Pakistan Domingo Lucenario was among the six foreign dignitaries killed in a helicopter crash in Pakistan,
Lucenario, 54, was reportedly travelling to northern Pakistan to witness the launch of two government projects there, along with the ambassador of Norway and the wives of the envoys of Malaysia and Indonesia, aboard a military helicopter when the accident happened.
“We are verifying the report,” said DFA spokesman Charles Jose. “We’ll issue a statement at an appropriate time.” (PNA)
