CASIGURAN, Aurora, May 6 (PNA) — A total of 150 out of school youths in the northern part of the province underwent leadership training cum values orientation Tuesday to give them knowledge in terms of governance and decision making.
The youths came from the different barangays in the towns of Dilasag, Dinalungan and Casiguran.
The resource speakers in the one-day activity were Ramoncita Ong, former Aurora governor, who discussed values orientation for the youth; Rico Alhambra, Casiguran municipal accountant who imparted his knowledge on effective communication and leadership and Ltc. Joey A. Escanillas, battalion commander of the 56th Infantry “Tatag” Battalion, Philippine Army, who shared his knowledge and experiences on how he ruled his unit, and the key on effective leadership.
Other speakers were SPO2 Judith Moral from Casiguran police, who discussed matters on drug abuse and prevention and Ellen Olivar from Aurora Provincial Social Welfare Development Office and facilitator of the said training, who discussed stress management.
Governor Gerardo Noveras delivered an inspirational message to the participants.
The training concluded with the election of youth officers who will soon test their ability as the new leaders. (PNA)
