WOW CAUAYAN launched at SM City Cauayan

CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela, April 27 (PNA) — The City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) – Cauayan City in partnership with the first SM Mall in the region launched last week its Wealth on Waste project held at SM City Cauayan city here.

The Wealth on Waste project involves C-harcoal made out of paper, A- Asim or Suka flavor making out of different fruits/vegetables, unsellable biodegradable wastes turned into useful things, A- agricultural soil conditioner making or organic fertilizer, Y-yaman sa basura or basket making, A-accessories and decorations made out of paper, and N-natural material created into simple and useful items. .

Engr. Alejo Lamsen, CENRO- Cauayan City, said the launching of the WOW CAUAYAN was part of the Earth Week celebration where recyclables and renewed and re-imagined products were showcased to the public at the mall.

Krystal Gayle Agbulig, said the SM Malls all over the country supports the Earth Week celebration as it offered its facilities to be the venue of the event.

Agbulig said that aside from WOW CAUAYAN launching, the SM City Cauayan also highlighted the Trash to Cash wherein the recyclables were exchanged to cash.

The SM’s trash to cash aims to encourage people to protect and respect Mother Earth.

She said that the SM supermalls have been an advocate of environmental conservation and protection and help in the promotion of environmental concern and awareness. (PNA)
