DAGUPAN CITY, April 12 (PNA) — More than 600 Dagupeños applied and renewed their passports during the Mobile Passport Service conducted by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), in cooperation with the Dagupan City government at CSI Stadia on April 11 as part of the celebration of the 2015 Bangus Festival.
Aside from the 600 who pre-submitted their requirements last March 18, the DFA also accepted some chance or walk-in applicants who applied for new passports and or sought renewal of their already expiring passports.
In answer to the clamor of the people here for a Mobile Passport Service, Mayor Belen T. Fernandez coordinated with the DFA to conduct the activity so people of Dagupan will no longer go to La Union, Baguio, Pampanga or Manila just to apply for their passports or renew the same.
The mayor said since there are still mounting clamor for mobile passport service, she will coordinate again with DFA for the holding of another activity in the city.
The release of the approved passports will be on May 23 at the CSI Atrium.(PNA)
