MANILA, April 10 (PNA) — The Philippine Port Authority (PPA) on Friday said that several business groups from Belgium are looking at opportunities in the Philippines not only in the port industry but in all aspects of trade.
PPFlanders-Belgium, headed by Trade Commissioner Mia Santamaria-Abela, visited the Manila International Container Terminal and the Manila South Harbor just last month in search for their potential partners.
PPA said that the trade mission to the Philippines was conducted to familiarize the Belgians with PPA plans and programs.
At the same time, the mission was also to determine possible collaboration and present the competitive advantages of the Belgian technologies and services and hope that it will discover potentials for cooperation.
During the meeting, International Maritime and Transport Advisors chief executive officer Louis Van Schel was warmly welcomed by the senior and junior officials of the PPA headed by General Manager Juan Sta. Ana. (PNA)
