Ayala Land P6-B development in Bacolod seen to generate at least 4,000 jobs

Posted on March 5, 2015

BACOLOD CITY, March 5 (PNA) -– The P6-billion shopping mall, hotel, and residential condominium development of Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) in this city dubbed Capitol Central is expected to generate at least 4,000 jobs.

Bernard Vincent Dy, ALI president and chief executive officer, said this during the groundbreaking rites held Thursday.

“This development further shows our commitment to supporting national development and economic progress,” Dy said.

The development will rise on the leased Capitol property and on the adjacent Coscolluela property acquired by the property giant. The area spans North and South Capitol Roads and San Juan Street.

The ALI executive said Bacolod is a key growth area and a city facing rapid growth.

“We are privileged to have been given the opportunity to work as partners in progress,” he added.

Dy said they are “excited to bring Ayala Land’s experience of developing integrated, mixed-use communities into the heart of Bacolod City.”

“We are committed to staying true to our track record of creating masterplanned developments, as we have done so with Makati, Bonifacio Global City, Nuvali, and even Northpoint in Talisay,” he added.

He further said: “We look forward to Capitol Central showcasing what the region is known for, from skilled employees to value-creating entrepreneurs, from quality products to excellent service.”

The Capitol Central, which includes a four-storey mall, eight-storey hotel, four-storey office building, and the two nine-storey residential condominiums, will be completed by late 2017.

“We have planned an ideal live-work-play environment that is accessible to all,” Dy said.

He added: “We believe the City of Smiles will be an ideal place to showcase Filipino hospitality, and we envision Seda to be a leading hotel for business travelers in the city.”

“We will also build a regional mall which hopefully will provide more opportunities for the region’s enterprising individuals. Its outdoor spaces and gathering places will seek to enhance civic life,” Dy said.

He said the development will also have a corporate center for 24/7 operations.

“It will bolster the region’s competitiveness and making Negrense talent and skill more accessible than before,” Dy said. (PNA)
