IT jobs pay highest salary — JobStreet.com

MANILA, Feb 26 (PNA) — Job positions in information technology (IT) pay the highest salary, according to JobStreet.com’s 2015 Salary Report.

In a briefing on Thursday, JobStreet.com marketing director Roselyn Ombao told reporters that employees specializing in IT receive highest salary across all levels — from junior executives or those who have one- to four-year work experience, to supervisors, up to managers.

In the level of junior executive, employees specializing computer-software are the highest paid with average salary of Php37,784 per month.

This is followed by another IT job, computer network database administration with average earnings of Php33,029.

For these level other top paying jobs include law or legal services at an average salary of Php27,033; actuarial science or statistics at Php27,032; electronics and communication engineering at Php26,379; public relations and communications at Php25,153; technical and helpdesk support at Php25,078; telesales and telemarketing at Php24,400; training and development at Php23,762; and customer service at Php23,369.

For supervisory level, computer-software and computer network database administration at Php67,478 and Php52,319, respectively.

Completing the top ten highest paying jobs in supervisory level are law or legal services at an average salary of Php39,788; electronics and communication engineering at Php34,831; customer service at Php34,772; sales engineering/ technical/ IT at Php33,396; business development at Php33,104; quality control assurance at Php32,978; telesales and telemarketing at Php 32,878; industrial engineering at Php27,032.

Likewise, the same specialization — computer-software and computer network database administration — are the top two highest paying jobs in managerial position at Php100,838 and Php81,274, respectively.

Included in the ten highest paying jobs in managerial level are technical and helpdesk support at an average salary of Php80,405; customer service at Php76,538; architecture/ interior design at Php68,616; training and development at Php67,380; corporate finance/ investment/ merchant banking at Php66,362; general cost accounting at Php69,696; maintenance/ repair for facilities and machinery at Php59,367; and manufacturing/ production operations at Php59,153.

The annual salary report was determined through the identification of the average salary of all specifications per position level based on actual salaries posted by employers on JobStreet.com in the last quarter of 2014. (PNA)
