ILOILO CITY, Feb. 16 (PNA) — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has allotted some Php30.73 million for various livelihood projects that will be implemented in Western Visayas this year.
It will be implemented under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program towards Community Enterprise Development (DILP-CED) where local government units (LGUs) are tasked to identify livelihood projects that are expected to generate employment.
The bulk of fund will go to projects implemented by the field offices in Negros Occidental and Iloilo-Guimaras with Php11.951 million each.
Capiz has a share of Php3.4 million while Aklan and Antique will get Php1.7 million each.
The fund can be utilized to enhance, restore and form livelihood through trainings on productivity improvement and entrepreneurship development, among others. (PNA)
