ZAMBOANGA CITY, Feb. 14 (PNA) — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), through the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB), is set to grant recognition to hotels, pension houses and restaurants operating here in Region IX.
RTWPB Secretary Joel Ijirani said Saturday the recognition is aimed to inspire quality service the hotels, pension houses and restaurants render to their clientele being customer-centered establishments.
Ijirani said the awardees–hotels, pension houses, and restaurants–would receive the service quality seal of recognition as proof of their efforts in rendering quality service to the customers.
With quality service, Ijirani said, the customers would enjoy their stay and visit, especially if they were tourists whether domestic or foreign.
He said the awardees should also be labor laws compliant aside from rendering quality service to the customers.
He said there would be training wherein the concerned stakeholders to be trained on quality service before the conduct of evaluation and awarding.
He said the training would be held on Feb. 27 to be followed by the evaluation. The awarding will be held by the end of June this year.
He said they would later expand the granting of service quality seal of recognition to other sectors, in partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT).(PNA)
