ILOILO CITY, Feb 10 (PNA) –- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has already approved 29 projects in Western Visayas for its shared service facilities (SSF) project.
DTI officer-in-charge for Western Visayas Wilhelm Malones said that around 80 to 90 percent of its P23 million fund for the project has already been disbursed and deliveries are already on going.
“It is the setting up that we have to hurry up,” he said.
The SSF project is aimed at improving the competitiveness of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by extending assistance in the form of machinery, equipment, tools, skills and knowledge among others.
Among the approved SSF projects are for food processing, loom weaving, coconut oil related production and dried fish processing. (PNA)
