DAGUPAN CITY, Jan. 22 (PNA) — Some 13,000 voters of Dagupan City still need to validate their biometrics with the City Election Office.
This was bared by City Election Officer Ericson Oganisa, speaking to newsmen during the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkasters sa Pilipinas (KBP) forum on Thursday at the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) office.
He said there used to be some 27,000 voters in the city without biometric validation but this was already reduced by one half.
The local election office already asked barangay captains to help encourage their constituents to validate their biometrics so that they can again vote in the coming election.
Validation is still continuing up to October 31 this year except for a certain period when the Comelec will not entertain those registering and validating their biometrics if the Sangguniang Kabataan polls will push through, said Oganisa. (PNA)
