BACOLOD CITY, Jan 7 (PNA) — Negros Occidental Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. told Capitol department heads that the province has much to do this year as he lauded their contribution to the success of the programs of his administration.
In their first meeting for the year Tuesday, Marañon attributed the success of the implementation of programs and projects to the collaborative efforts of the provincial officials, heads, and employees.
“There’s so much to be done and so much to do in 2015, expect more investors to come to the province this year,” he said.
Marañon enjoined the Capitol departments heads to unite and work together for the common goal of delivering efficient public service.
The governor said he would continue the programs and projects he had initiated under the Negros First Development Agenda, giving emphasis on food security and improvement of educational system and livelihood programs.
He also said that the institutionalization of the Negros Occidental Comprehensive Health Program (NOCHP) under his administration would ensure that the indigents continue to avail of the program even after his term ends.(PNA)
