TUGUEGARAO CITY, Dec. 26 (PNA) — Two persons died and eight others were wounded in two separate car accidents in Isabela and Cagayan on Christmas Day, police said.
Police identified the fatalities as Jobert Talang, 26, of Baggao, Cagayan and Ruben Ortiz, 32, of Cabagan, Isabela.
Wounded were Danilo Talang, Frederick Gaoiran, and Alfonso Bautista, all of Baggao, Cagayan, and Jacinto Gacias, Jamaica Ortiz, Calixto Reyes, and Arnulfo and Jerome, both surnamed Juan, all of Isabela.
Talang’s motorcycle slammed onto the tricycle driven by Gaoiran which caused the accident. Talang died before reaching the hospital in Baggao, Cagayan.
In Isabela, a three-car smashup had caused the death of Ortiz at the national highway in Cubag village here. He died before he could reach Milagros District Hospital in Cabagan town.
Ortiz and Gacias, who had sustained severe head injuries, were transferred to a private hospital in Cagayan.(PNA)
