MANILA, Dec. 3 (PNA) — Globe Telecom on Wednesday said that it has made some changes in its management this month.
In a statement, the Ayala-led telco said that its Senior Advisor for Consumer Marketing, Chee Loo Fun will no longer hold the position effective Dec. 31.
Chee Loo Fun joined Globe in 2011, bringing her many years of in-depth telco and brand expertise to help continue the strong growth momentum of the company’s Consumer Business.
Loo Fun led the prepaid business to launch holistic offerings and propositions, as well as established the framework for a customer segmentation view across the different brands.
She also headed the strategic development of the revitalized Globe brand and its re-launch in late 2013.
It was not mentioned why she no longer holds the position.
Meanwhile, with the resignation of G-Xchange Inc. President, Paolo Baltao, effective Dec 1, Xavier Marzan will be taking his place concurrent to his role as GXI Chief Operating Officer.
Baltao spent the last decade building the telco’s mobile commerce business, putting greater intensity in scaling up new businesses and equal emphasis on emerging opportunities around mobile payments, m-commerce, and mobile financial services.
Under his leadership, GXI has introduced products that are market firsts and are non-traditional of financial institutions such as Power Pay Plus, American Express Virtual Pay, and Globe Charge. (PNA)
