Cebu Pacific offers lower fares for direct HK-Boracay flights

Posted on December 3, 2014

MANILA, Dec. 3 (PNA) – Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific Air on Wednesday introduces its latest seat sale on its thrice weekly direct services to Kalibo, the international gateway to Boracay.

As part of the airline’s continuous efforts to boost tourism into the country, it will start making Boracay, more accessible to tourists from Hong Kong

Until Dec. 5, 2014 or until seats last, passengers can book from Hong Kong to Kalibo for a cost of only Php 699. Travel period is from Feb. 19 to March 28, 2015.

Cebu Pacific VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog, in a statement, expressed excitement on the new promo since it will be a convenient access to Boracay, just in time for the Chinese New Year.

“The island is perfect for those looking for a fun and relaxing getaway. We encourage guests to book their flights in advance to get the best travel deals,” Iyog said.

Boracay is popular for its white sand beaches, night life and water sports activities. It has been cited by Travel + Leisure Magazine and TripAdvisor as one of the best island destinations in the world.

It has also been featured in the Department of Tourism’s (DOT) AVPs, along with popular tourist destinations, Palawan, Cebu, Bohol, among others.

New products

Iyog also suggested guests to avail of two new Cebu Pacific travel products: Cebu Pacific Transfers and the Cebu Pacific Fun Data SIM.

The airline’s Transfers gives guests seamless transfer service from the Kalibo airport to the guest’s resort or hotel in Boracay Island.

It already includes land and ferry transfers and other government fees. Guests can book this through the website or reservation hotlines for as low as Php 450.

Meanwhile, guests can also purchase the its Fun Data SIM onboard international inbound flights, so they can enjoy 1.5 GB worth of mobile broadband data when in the Philippines.

Aside from the mobile data allocation valid for 15 days, the SIM also includes 100 text messages and 10 minutes of voice calls to all Philippine mobile networks, as well as discounted rates for international calls.

The LTE-capable SIM can be used with a variety of gadgets, since it is pre-cut for devices using regular, mini-, or nano-SIM slots. It is available for Php 500 per SIM pack. (PNA)
