P31.7-M infrastructure projects in Bacolod completed

BACOLOD CITY, Dec. 2 (PNA) — The City Engineer’s Office here completed P31.767 million worth of infrastructure projects as of October this year.

A report submitted by City Engineer Belly Aguillon to the Office of Mayor Monico Puentevella showed the completed projects include the maintenance of the city’s streetlights, improvement and rehabilitation of drainage systems of Purok Greenfield, Barangay Tangub and Purok Sigay in Barangay 2, and renovation of the Day Care Center of Barangay 3.

Ongoing projects amounting to P17.147 million include, among others, the concreting of the main jeepney road route at Paglaum Village in Barangay Mansilingan worth P1 million; rehabilitation of Narra Avenue, Shopping Center in Barangay Villamonte, P1 million; concreting of existing road connecting Ging Street going to L Street at Hermelinda Homes in Barangay Mansilingan, P2.194 million; construction of road leading to Barangay Felisa Dumpsite, P2.4 million; and the completion of road concreting in 16th Street, North Drive in Barangay 7, P1.5 million.

The repairs of various public elementary and high school buildings are also included in the current projects.

Moreover, the P2.3-million rehabilitation of the I.V. Ferrer Bridge in Barangay Villamonte was also finished while the construction of 10 one-unit classrooms in various schools worth P1 million each is nearing completion. (PNA)
