CDC earmarks P23M for infra rehab projects

CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga, Nov. 26 (PNA) — The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) has earmarked more than P23 million for the ongoing rehabilitation projects inside this Freeport.

The CDC has sent notice to all stakeholders, visitors, and tourists on the inconveniences brought by the improvements being undertaken at the Clark museum, parade ground, command center, and the construction and installation of LED lighting along the 2.5-kilometer park.

The improvements around the CDC parade ground are being undertaken in preparation for the Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation Senior Ministers Meeting to be held here early next year.

Parade ground is one of the most frequented places in Clark, often used as site for various sports tourism events, biking, jogging, walking, among others.

The CDC has allotted P4.70 million at the parade ground project consisting of the repair and improvement of jogging lane, supply and installation of drinking fountain, concrete benches, repair of existing pavers, landscape improvements at flag pole area, landscaping of 470.40 sq. meters and other related works, including the construction of lamp posts with led lights.

The CDC also sent notice to local and foreign visitors for the temporary closure of Clark museum to give way for the programmed construction in the next few weeks.

The project cost for the renovation project is at about P11.32 million.

“We apologize for any inconvenience. Rest assured that we will update you on the developments concerning the Clark Museum,” the CDC signboard said.

Likewise, the CDC informed the public on the installation of led park lights and arealights at the parade ground being undertaken by Onlite Ledlighting Tech. International Corporation.

The CDC is spending P6.21 million for the lighting project, including the provision of the LED lights.

Also under construction is the Integrate Command Center with a budget of P1.76 million.

The project will be used as the command center once the CCTVs are installed in the entire Freeport area.

Aside from the ongoing infrastructure projects, the CDC also said that the CDC health office, Public Safety Department buildings, including Chapel 2 and the commercial area have been repainted as part of the beautification project for the APEC.

The CDC also said that improvement on the drainage system was undertaken. (PNA)
