MALASIQUI, Pangasinan Nov. 24 (PNA)– A common terminal is set to be constructed here to help ease the traffic congestion in the municipality.
Mayor Armando Domantay Sr. said the common terminal was budgeted at P62 million to be used for the purchase of a one-hectare land located along Don Vicente Quintans street and the cost of constructing the facility.
The location is approximately 500 meters away from the public market, where present temporary common terminal of the town is located.
“We have planned this project last year since we saw that as the town progresses we cannot avoid traffic”, said Domantay.
Domantay said the acquisition of land was already made and construction of the facility will start next month after the SB approves the procedures.
Besides solving the traffic congestion of the town, the common terminal is also expected to generate income.
Domantay admitted as early as now entrepreneurs were already inquiring of business stalls inside the terminal.
“This is another income generating project in our town and we are excited about it”, said Domantay. (PNA)
