BACOLOD CITY, Oct 31 (PNA) — The Bacolod City Permits and Licensing Division and other concerned departments and offices here inspected a total of 1,309 business establishments to determine if they have been issued business permits.
Joining the inspection are personnel from the City Planning and Development Office-Zoning Division, Office of the Building Official, City Health Office, Bureau of Fire Protection, and City Environment and Natural Resources Office.
“We have prepared an inspection data form to be filled out by the clients and signed by inspectors which details if they have secured a business permit and other clearances,” inspection team head Winnie Pabalinas said.
The inspection is favorable to business owners because when the permits renewal comes next year, they will only present the data form during the “One-Stop-Shop” to get clearances from concerned offices, Pabalinas added.
The Permits and Licensing Division has issued about 20 notices of closure to establishments that have failed to renew their permits this year.
The list was submitted to the City Legal Office for further action should these business owners fail to comply with our notice, Pabalinas said. The team is scheduled to conduct inspections every Tuesday and Thursday.(PNA)
