PNP PRO4-A concludes assessment, evaluation on police units

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna, Oct. 16 (PNA) — The Philippine Regional Office (PRO)-Calabarzon concluded its Unit Certification and Performance Governance Reporting and held the awarding and conferment ceremony on Wednesday at Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp Vicente Lim, Canlubang, Laguna.

PNP Chief, Police Director General Alan Purisima graced the ceremony as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. He said this awarding and conferment ceremony is a big part of promoting the reform agenda.

“With this development in our Performance Governance System (PGS) efforts, we are now even more inspired to move forward, towards the realization of our vision of a highly capable, effective and credible police service,” Purisima said.

The event was a one-month review, assessment and evaluation on all police units of PRO4-A of their respective PNP Performance Governance System, through the PNP Patrol Plan 2030 or PNP Order and Peace Agenda for transformation and upholding the Rule of Law Plan 2030.

The process started on Sept. 9 at PROIV-A headquarters. The Patrol Plan presented by 150 police units in Calabarzon region were reviewed, assessed and evaluated by the panel, composed of members of the center police strategy management, NAPOLCOM, Deputy Regional Director for Administration P/CSUPT Erwin Erni, Deputy Regional Director for Operations P/CSUPT Edgardo Serapio Garado, Regional Chief of Directorial Staff P/SSUPT Archie Francisco Gamboa, Regional Investigation Detection and Management Division P/SSUPT Faustino Manzanilla and members of the media.

PRO4-A Regional Director, Police Chief Superintendent Jesus Gatchalian said in his opening remarks the PNP Unit Certification and Performance Governance Reporting is a validation of the implementation of each PNP unit’s scorecard and to strengthen the knowledge and understanding of all personnel involved in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the PNP’s P.A.T.R.O.L Plan 2030 enhanced with Chief, PNP’s Strategic Focus “CODE-P: 2013 and Beyond.”

Also, the certification process assessing the overall performance of units was based on the accomplishment targets, he added.

The Cavite PPO received one gold and silver awards; Laguna PPO has one gold and four silver; Batangas PPO, two silver awards; Rizal has one gold and six silver and Quezon PPO gets one gold and four silver awards.

Gen. Purisima personally conferred the certificates and awards assisted by Regional Director Jesus Gatchalian. (PNA)
