ILOILO CITY, Oct. 8 (PNA) -– The Iloilo Provincial Development Council (PDC) chaired by Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. held a meeting Wednesday in order to validate the Annual Investment Program (AIP) 2015, which is a summary of priority projects for the province.
Dr. Raul Banias, who initially presided the meeting, said that the governor every year convenes the PDC that is vice chaired by Dr. Edwin Lariza, representing the non-government organizations, in order to validate the AIP.
The province’s AIP 2015 total fund is P1,730,793,810 broken down to: social services sector amounting to P823,398,127; economic services sector, P807, 260,540; general public services sector, P100,135,143.
The fund sources are general fund in the amount of P944,031,302; 20 percent internal revenue allocation (IRA) P317,500,000; and, other sources, P469,262,508.
Banias said that priorities for the IRA under the social services sector are the Hospital Enhancement Program, P40,000,000; Population Management Services, P6,500,000 for which another 13 teen centers will be constructed; and, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Projects, P20,000,000.(PNA)
