AirAsia Zest offers promotional fares to celebrate 3rd ‘Best Low-Cost Airline’ win

Posted on October 6, 2014

By Azer N. Parrocha

MANILA, Oct. 6 (PNA) – AirAsia Zest announced on Monday that it will start to offer promotional fares for both domestic and international destinations to celebrate yet another milestone in the airline’s history.

In a statement, AirAsia said that a Php299 base fare will be available after AirAsia received its Best Low-Cost Airline award from Business Traveller Asia-Pacific for the third consecutive year.

The ‘Best Low-Cost Airline’ category was created in 2012 and AirAsia was the first low-cost airline to be awarded this title. It was awarded in the same category in 2013 as well as this year.

“We are honored to receive this award for the third year running,” AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes said. “We would like to thank all our guests and Business Traveller readers for the support and belief in AirAsia.”

“We will continue to do our best to provide the best possible service and value for our guests, as well as enhance our connectivity and network,” he added.

AirAsia this year introduced a brand-new product, Premium Flex, which is designed to cater to the needs of discerning business travelers, turning arduous business travels into a pleasant experience by providing further convenience and comfort options.

Fernandes, meanwhile, vowed to stay motivated to maintain the airline’s ‘world’s best low-cost airline’ title and continue to innovate to provide affordable and seamless travel experience for travelers.

AirAsia Zest serves twice daily flights from Manila to business destinations of Kuala Lumpur, daily flights to Shanghai, thrice weekly to Macau and Cebu with promo fares from as low as Php799.00 one way.

Last week, the airline set a new record in on time performance (OTP) by posting a 100 percent score, meaning all its passengers departed and arrived at their destinations on time.

AirAsia Zest’s was able to record 100 percent OTP on Sept. 15, 24 and 27 and posted an average of 89.9 percent OTP for September alone. (PNA)
