NBI calls Kho, Belo

Posted on May 23, 2009

PHILIPPINE NEWS SERVICE — The National Bureau of Investigation has invited vanity physician Dr. Vicki Belo and her controversial boyfriend Dr. Hayden Kho to shed light on their involvement, if any, in the uploading on the Internet and proliferation of x-rated videos of Kho and sexy actress Katrina Halili.

They are set to appear before the NBI today at 10 a.m.

Vicente de Guzman III, head of the NBI-Anti-Fraud and Computer Division, said they have already subpoenaed Belo, Kho and a Dr. Eric Johnston Chua who was reported to be behind the proliferation of the sex videos.

De Guzman stressed that Belo was invited for questioning after investigators learned she has copies of the videos.

Philippine National Police chief Director General Jesus A. Verzosa yesterday said they are ready to assist in investigating the Halili-Kho sex scandal.

“The PNP will attend to any concern or complaint. We do not discriminate,” Verzosa said.

Verzosa said they are also coordinating with the Optical Media Board efforts to confiscate pirated copies of the Halili-Kho sex video reportedly now being circulated throughout the country.

Immigration Commissioner Marcelino Libanan has placed Kho on the bureau’s watchlist, preventing him from leaving the country without clearance from the Department of Justice.

Meanwhile the Philippine Medical Association has “condemned to the highest order” the acts of Dr. Kho.

According to Minguita Padilla, Opinion chairman of the PMA, Kho could not be in his proper frame of mind and his wrongdoings should not be taken for granted.

However, she said the doctor is entitled to due process.
