ILOILO CITY, Sept. 19 (PNA)– Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog here and members of the Market Committee will hold another dialogue with legitimate central market vendors on Wednesday, September 24 as part of his continuing consultation with market vendors held every last Wednesday of the month.
City Administrator Norlito Bautista said the dialogue hopes to bring out apprehensions of legitimate vendors and their right to space if the new central market will be built on the same area.
Bautista admitted that the validation of all vendors is still ongoing and there is a need to inform the vendors of their obligations and responsibilities in the market.
On the other hand, the Sangguniang Panlungsod is set to approve the newly drafted Term of Reference (TOR) governing the construction of the new central market and awarding of stalls including the responsibilities of the vendors.
Bautista announced that with some reforms instituted at the central market, some P3.91 million revenue was realized in six months from January to June 2014 as compared with the P2.8 million income for the whole year of 2013. (PNA)
