TUGUEGARAO CITY, Sept. 19 (PNA) — Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Regional Director Norma Talosig is continuously monitoring the situation of tropical storm Mario’s landfall in the Cagayan and Isabela provinces.
The Department of Public Works and Highways-Region 2 (DPWH-2) said the Maharlika Highway in the region is passable to all types of vehicles, Talosig added.
“We still have no landslide and the road is still passable to all types of vehicles,” she said.
They are closely monitoring the Dalton pass area in Sta. Fe town in Nueva Vizcaya due to possible landslides that may block commuters going in and outside the region.
Water level in Magat dam as of 5:00 p.m. was 189.80 meters, inflow 310.2 cubic meters/second,outflow 310.2 cubic meters/second and spilling level, 193 meters.
As of this writing, there are no reported damaged houses and flooded barangays in the region. (PNA)
