LUCENA CITY, Quezon Sept 9 (PNA) – “We will immediately look for a viable solution to address the current problems of our kindergarten teachers in the city.”
Lucena Mayor Roderick “Dondon” Alcala gave this assurance Tuesday as the Guest Speaker in the induction rites of the Association of Kindergarten Teachers of Lucena City (AKTOLC) held at the Queen Margarette Hotel-Downtown.
Alcala said he was aware that the kindergarten teachers’ salary from the city share fund went down from P1,500/monthly to P1,200/monthly and sometimes, the said salary is delayed.
The mayor assured the kindergarten teachers that he will resolve this issue after he reviews the procedural legalities about their salaries, he being the chairman of the Local School Board.
Alcala added that he will try to give to kindergarten teachers the same incentives that regular teachers are now enjoying.
The mayor commended these pre-school teachers who, he said, are very dedicated in providing education to the toddlers and pre-school kids in the city.
All the 116 kindergarten teachers thanked Mayor Alcala for the incentives the mayor said will try to provide to them. (PNA)
