BAGUIO CITY, Sept. 4 (PNA) – The Philippine Statistical Authority (PSA) calls for public support and cooperation for the conduct of the Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) set in September.
The ASPBI is among the surveys being conducted by the PSA along with two other statistical offices that have been helping government and private entities in formulating policies, programs and economic development plans.
Through the survey, formal sector’s businesses and industries, including Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSMEs) data or information on economic performance and indicators such as employment, compensation, income, expense, total assets and capital expenditures and inventories, among others, are being gathered.
In an interview Thursday, Sept. 4, Delano Balislis Jr. of the PSA – Cordillera said that 429 businesses in the region are identified to be surveyed in the ASPBI.
The Survey on Information and Communication technology (SICT), will also be a rider survey.
One hundred sixty-four business and industries all over the region are identified as survey respondents.
SICT aims to collect and generate information on the availability, distribution and access/utilization of ICT among industries and businesses in the country.
He said the PSA’s call for respondents’ support and cooperation as providing the right data or information, will play a critical role for government and private policy makers and planners in crating the right policies and programs for the country’s business and industry sector. (PNA)
