AWB Joins the Alcatel-Lucent Seal

Posted on April 30, 2009

HSINCHU, Taiwan, April 28 /PRNewswire-Asia/ — Accton Wireless Broadband Corp. today announced that the company has joined the Alcatel-Lucent Seal of Interoperability Acceptance for Commercial Services (SIACS) program. Under the Alcatel-Lucent SIACS, the company makes available to service providers a range of key performance indicator data, giving complete visibility into what the devices can do through a more than 180 test items for completing the highest level of interoperability testing.

“It is our honor to join Alcatel-Lucent’s SIACS program which is the reliable portal to qualify the performance and reliability of Accton WiMAX products. To provide carrier-class WiMAX products to customers is always our commitment. SIACS defines a unique IOT test process, quality and KPI process and that makes SIACS a trustful proof of quality index for operators. This index will not only be influential to shorten the implement and trial period of each site but also a great bridge to connect service providers and CPE vendors’ relationship,” addressed by Mingshou Liu, the president of Accton Wireless Broadband Corp.

Alcatel-Lucent has long encouraged the expansion of the WiMAX Rev-e ecosystem through interoperability testing (IOT) with any and all device makers under its Open Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) Program. AWB’s RG230 WiMAX 802.16e Wave 2 Indoor CPE has received the new Alcatel-Lucent Seal of Interoperability Acceptance of Commercial Services (SIACS) certification in October 2008 and has been listed in the recommendation CPE list of Alcatel-Lucent’s open CPE program.

“AWB will continue to provide best-of-breed WiMAX CPE products and cooperate with Alcatel-Lucent to offer end-to-end WiMAX solution to service providers. Joining SIACS is just a beginning to ensure our design quality and further to optimize our service level to the most in the WiMAX ecosystem.” Mingshou Liu further addressed.
