PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur, Aug. 27 (PNA) — The week-long bomb awareness education campaign in a bid to thwart bomb plots by lawless elements reeled off Wednesday in this city.
The education campaign is being conducted by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) in partnership with the Explosive Ordnance Demolition (EOD) of the police and military commands.
CDRRMC Coordinator Haron Damada said Wednesday they have organized two teams–Teams A and B–to conduct the bomb awareness education campaign to all concerned stakeholders.
Damada said the Team A will focus on hotels and pension houses, Integrated Bus Terminal, vendors, drivers and conductors while the Team B at this city’s public market to include the different business establishments.
Also included in the campaign are the different government offices and the schools in this city.
Damada said the education campaign is part of the City Peace and Order Council (CPOC) action plan to ensure the protection of the residents from criminal activities by lawless elements. (PNA)
