DAGAMI, Leyte, Aug. 25 (PNA) — The Tacloban Pinoy Tour Club (TPTC), in collaboration with the Cristina’s Learn and Earn Program (CLEP), taught residents of this town on how to earn without investing money.
The group of TPTC and CLEP recently held a seminar on skills upgrading program, which trained residents on proper haircut and reflex massage, thus helping them earn extra income.
During the seminar, the trainers from CLEP introduced the tools used in haircutting and demonstrated the technique on its proper use. They also introduced them the reflex point of the body for massage.
According to Lily P. Cagara, head of CLEP, holding this kind of service is their way of giving back to the community.
“It’s time to give back the blessings that we have received in our day-to-day livings. Though it’s just a little help, still it will help the residents of Dagami,” Cagara said.
Attendees were very much thankful because of the new skills they learned from the seminar.
Nora Capon, 41, one of the participants, found the seminar very timely since she’s planning to open a barber shop.
“I am grateful to learn new things about haircutting. It’s also good to know the reflex point of our body. I can now massage some parts of my body on my own,” Capon said.
The said seminar is just one of the activities of the TPTC, which is a non-government organization. They collaborated with the CLEP since several members of TCPC are employees of Tacloban City government. (PNA)
