BACOLOD CITY, Aug. 20 (PNA) – The provincial government-run Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center (NOLITC) recently trained 40 nurses in its Medical Transcription course.
The group is part of the fourth and fifth batches of trainees who recently completed the training.
Bacolod City Councilor Jocelle Sigue, who was the graduation speaker, said the graduates have bright prospects in the Healthcare Information Management Outsourcing (HIMO) industry.
She said a locator is currently evaluating the potentials of Bacolod City as another destination for HIMO because of the large pool of qualified nurses in the province.
NOLITC head Ma. Cristina Orbecido said all their graduates have passed the National Competency Assessment Examinations conducted by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
Other courses offered by NOLITC include Call Center Operations and 2D Animation.
NOLITC is located at the Paglaum Sports Complex in Araneta St., Bacolod City.(PNA)
