CORDON, ISABELA, (PNA) — The Cordon Police Office in coordination with the local government unit of the said municipality and Land Transportation office (LTO) is implementing a discipline zone particularly at the town’s public market.
The discipline zone implementation aims to lessen accidents involving vehicles within the vicinity of the public market and to put in place illegal vendors in a place in order not to hamper traffic inside and outside the public market.
Cordon police chief P/CI Rogelio Taliping, said the discipline zone is a program introduced by the Isabela Police Provincial Office to lessen accidents in busy streets or in commercial centers through the assistance of the police.
Taliping said the Cordon police personnel together with the LTO personnel will be implementing speed limits in the national road near the public market and the police will also help the local government unit in placing in order the illegal vendors in the public market.
“We are implementing the discipline zone in the town to lessen traffic accidents within the roads in the public market”, Taliping said.
The police chief is hopeful that the implementation of the discipline zone will become effective to lessen the damages on lives and properties of motorists and commuters.
