Bacolod City ranks third best area for industrial investment

Posted on August 14, 2014

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidentl, August 14 (PNA) – Real estate services firm KMC MAG Group Inc. has ranked Bacolod City as the third best area outside of Manila for industrial investments in the Philippines, a report from the City Mayor’s Office said.

The Bonifacio Global City-based real estate firm stated that Bacolod is a prime destination after Cebu and Clark Feeport Zone for national and international Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (Mice), business process outsourcing (BPO) services, and foreign investments.

The firm also cited several of the city’s potentials, including its proximity to top placer Cebu and its transformation into an ICT hub.

“The city provides opportunities in various industries such as information technology, agriculture, manufacturing, metalwork, travel services, eco-tourism, and furniture making,” it added.

The real estate services firm also detailed that Bacolod is slowly becoming a highly-urbanized city and a flourishing economy due to the rise of communication and utility services, transportation, and infrastructure facilities.

As a bustling city that has yet to reach its full potential, KMC MAG Group outlined Bacolod as the center of commerce with well-developed road networks and linkages to other prospering cities, towns and provinces.

Also included in the top five are Sta. Rosa, Laguna and Davao as viable locations and next wave destinations for industrial investments.

KMC MAG Group is the largest Philippine-based real estate brokerage company and an international associate of Savills, a London Stock Exchange listed real estate services provider and one of the largest in the world.
