MANILA, (PNA) — Good weather will continue to prevail in the next three days due to the ridge of high pressure weather system now affecting the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Thursday.
PAGASA weather forecaster Alvin Pura said due to monsoon break, expect a good weather in the whole country and will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms until weekend due to ridge of High Pressure Area (HPA) extending over Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
The HPA is the opposite of low pressure area and that brings warm and humid weather in the country during summer.
Meanwhile, Pura said they are also monitoring a low pressure area which is still outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
He said the LPA is expected to enter PAR but it will not affect the country and has small chance to intensify into tropical cyclone.
In its advisory, PAGASA said moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the south to southwest with slight to moderate seas.
