ILOILO CITY, July 28 (PNA) –- Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. and Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog both cited the administration of President Benigno Aquino III for regaining public trust by doing its best to realize whatever has been laid down for the nation.

Gov. Defensor, who attended the joint opening session of Congress for the State of the Nation Address of President Benigno Aquino III today, gave the speech a rating of 8 from a scale of 1 to 10.

He said that the Aquino administration is really candid and sincere in serving the Filipino people.

He further said that because of this, public trust is regained despite the controversies like the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP), parts of which were declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, Mayor Mabilog said that the president gave a good summary of tangible projects of his administration and for this, he gave him a rating of 9.5.

Mayor Mabilog, who has been cited by the President in his SONA, said that the president showed strong political will in order to propel the country into progress.

The mayor said that public trust has also been regained for under the Aquino administration there is so far no issue on graft and corruption.

Mayor Mabilog also acknowledged that the President is beset with difficult gargantuan tasks but he is confident Mr. Aquino will succeed in completing these for the good of the Filipino people. (PNA)
