March 25 (PNA) — Leading telecoms firm, Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company, has been voted No. 1 in investor relations and commitment to a strong dividend policy in a poll conducted by FinanceAsia magazine.
Finance Asia’s 14th annual poll was launched on February 10 and was carried out for one month. It surveys analysts and investors in determining the best companies in Asia.
This year, PLDT has been one among top Philippine firms which has been cited as one of the best in various categories.
Apart from the said distinction, PLDT’s Napoleon Nazareno has been named as the “Best CEO.”
On the other hand, Ayala Corporation, the “best managed” company in the country according to the survey, has also clinched the No. 1 spot in corporate governance and corporate social responsibility whereas PLDT ranked second.
Filinvest Land was cited as the “best mid-cap” company while the “best small cap” company distinction went to EEI Corporation.
Jollibee’s Ysmael Baysa was honored as the best chief finance officer.
